Preparing for a Natural Disaster

Tornado
My thoughts and prayers go out tonight to the victims and families of the tornado that devastated major parts of Oklahoma City earlier today.

Natural disasters can cause devastation to everyone and anyone.  Every square inch of this planet is susceptible to at least one form of natural disaster or another.  There is no place you can go to avoid them.

However, there are steps you can do to prepare for them.  For every different type of natural disaster there is a specific set of plans and preparation that goes with it to help you in times of need.  You wouldn't want to use the same emergency plan for a tornado as you would a fire.

Being prepared could mean the difference between life and death.   It's important to know what natural disasters you are susceptible to at your current location, and know what to do in case of emergencies.   Ready.gov is a great place to learn how to plan for a natural disaster specific to your area.

Please take time to prepare yourself and your family for Natural Disasters that could happen in your area.
